  • This document is for Amcrest IP3M-941 cameras.

2. Camera Setup

2.1. Get the Mobile App

  1. Download and install the Amcrest View Pro mobile app on your mobile device.

2.2. Add Cameras to WiFi

For the following steps, you’ll need to be able to physically scan the camera’s S/N via the mobile phone app.
  1. Start the AmcrestViewPro mobile app.

  2. Go to the DeviceManager  Add Device menu

  3. Click the WiFi Camera button

  4. Click the Set up a New Camera on WiFi menu tab

  5. Click the WiFi Configuration Setup item

  6. Follow the remaining instructions to:

    1. Connect the camera to WiFi.

    2. Name the camera.

    3. Set a username and password.

2.3. Configure Cameras

  1. Start the Amcrest View Pro mobile app.

2.3.1. Configure Date & Time

This Date & Time will be part of the video stream and will appear in the upper right hand corner.
  1. Go to the Configuration Center  Date & Time menu.

  2. Select a camera.

Set System Time
  1. Click on System Time.

  2. Click Sync Phone.

  3. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.

Set TimeZone
  1. Click on Time Zone.

  2. Select Time zone for GMT-04:00 .

  3. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.

Enable DST
  1. Enable by sliding the DST switch to the right.

3. Camera Stream Info

  • Use the following:

    rtsp://[user name]:[password]@192.168.1.24:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

  • Input Type : H.264 / H.265 / H.265+ (h264)

3.1. Older Deprecated and Incomplete Instructions

Do not use the following instructions!
  1. Power up camera

  2. Plug into LAN.

    Will setup for wireless later
  3. Download and install the IP Config tool from here

  4. Run the IP Config tool.

  5. Click the Settings button and confirm:

    1. Start IP. Should probably be 192.168.1.1

    2. Default UserName = admin

    3. Default Password = admin

      If you’ve changed the defaults, then use this set of credentials.
  6. Confirm the list of cameras.

    • If a camera(s) is missing from the list:

      1. The camera can be reset by pressing and holding the led light for a few seconds until it blinks red.

      2. Click the Refresh button when done

  7. Confirm video

    1. Click on the gear icon within the Operate column

    2. You should see live video

  8. Open web interface

    1. Click on the internet explorer icon within the Operate column

    2. Login

      1. Default UserName = admin

      2. Default Password = admin

        If you’ve changed the defaults, then use this set of credentials.
    3. If the Amcrest Web View plugin extension is not installed, you will be prompted to install it.
